Guided by Monica Pelayo, this tour explores the different layers of history making up the area now known as Union Station. In addition to looking at the contemporary structure built in 1939, to the communities in the area and railways that preceded it. Union Station is an iconic place in film from the 1939 film noir called Union Station, to contemporary uses of it in TV and film.
Monica Pelayo is a Phd student in History at the University of Southern California. She is a native Los Angeleno with an avid interest in immigration, the Progressive Movement and urban landscape.
